132 Days Until Summer

Anticipating summer?!

There are:

132 days until summer

3180 hours until summer

And at this present moment, there are 11.4 million seconds until the official start of summer.

1. 2. 3. 4. 5… off to climb back and bed.  Will return when I reach 11 million ;)

HAH.  Priceless:

Decisions

One of my goals for this year was to start with some site consolidation.  I believe at some point this week, I will start strictly using Karla Caress.  I’m not 100% for sure on this, but I am leaning in that direction.  My plans are to be here in Milwaukee for a day or two more.  Leah and I have been doing some sight seeing in Milwaukee.  Very nice to have a gal pal hanging out with me here.  Going to take my butt to bed soon.  *yawn*  More later, my dear friends :)

Still trying to figure out what was going on with the 3 helicopters that visited the loading dock of the Midwest Airlines Center.  One of them was the Flight for Life helicopter.  And there wasn’t anything on the news about it.  Weird!

Perhaps My New Calling? LOL

Liquid Viagra?!

Pfizer Corp. (NYSE PFE) is making the announcement today that VIAGRA will soon be available in liquid form and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola (Pepsi Bottling Group NYSE PBG) as a power beverage suitable for use as-is, or as a mixer, under the name “Mount And Do”. Pepsi’s proposed ad campaign suggests: “It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one.” – Source

A Disco Ball VaJayJay?!

Jennifer Love Hewitt is way too cute.  I thought this was quite the image burned into the brain.  Must be careful if it’s vagazzled though!

It’s way past my bedtime…

and here I am still sitting here with all kinds of ideas rolling through my head. I am very excited about 2010. I feel as though there are great things right around the corner for me. I am doing small things every day that will eventually turn into big things, but for now, I have to live day by day and just do small things to get closer to where I want to be.

I don’t believe that I’ll ever stop shooting for the moon – I may just get a star!

Still contemplating Green Bay in the morning, but perhaps I will wait until Tuesday. I have a new phone and can’t seem to figure out how to make the ringers louder – I’m pretty sure I’m going to sleep through the little beep thing it’s doing now. Thankfully I have the flexibility in my schedule to allow for that ;) Although, I’m keeping my fingers crossed! I could always head up there later in the day…

I Have a Secret Crush

I think Bob Parsons is so sexy!

Fun With Oxymorons ;)

I received this in my email today and have wondered some of the very same thoughts:

1.   Is it good if a vacuum really sucks?

2.     Why is the third hand on the watch called the second hand?

3.   If a word is misspelled in the dictionary, how would we ever know?

4.   If Webster wrote the first dictionary, where did he find the words?

5.   Why do we say something is out of whack? What is a whack?

6.   Why does “slow down” and “slow up” mean the same thing?

7.   Why does “fat chance” and “slim chance” mean the same thing?

8.   Why do “tug” boats push their barges?

9.   Why do we sing “Take me out to the ball game” when we are already there?

10.   Why are they called ” stands” when they are made for sitting?

11.   Why is it called “after dark” when it really is “after light”?

12..   Doesn’t “expecting the unexpected” make the unexpected expected?

13..   Why are a “wise man” and a “wise guy” opposites?

14.  Why do “overlook” and “oversee” mean opposite things?

15.   Why is “phonics” not spelled the way it sounds?

16.   If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay you to do it?

17..   If all the world is a stage, where is the audience sitting?

18.   If   love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?

19.   If you are cross-eyed and have dyslexia, can you read all right?

20.   Why is bra singular and panties plural?

21..  Why do you press harder on the buttons of a remote control
when you know the batteries are dead?

22.   Why do we put suits in garment bags and garments in a suitcase?

23.   How come abbreviated is such a long word?

24.  Why do we wash bath towels? Aren’t we clean when we use them?

25..   Why doesn’t glue stick to the inside of the bottle?

26.   Why do they call it a TV set when you only have one?

27. Christmas – What other time of the year do you sit in front of a dead tree and eat candy out of your socks?

28.  Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway ?

Positive Attitudes are Sexy

You can charge me guilty of looking through rose colored glasses most of the time.  I like to find the sunshine in all of life’s experiences.  I love to keep a positive outlook even in some of the most down and out type of situations.  I have reasons to continue this way of thinking.  It works.  For every 60 seconds you spend with a negative thought, you lose a whole minute that could have been dedicated to happiness.

I like how Gary of Happiness Through Self Awareness puts it:

You are the only one who can determine the thoughts you think, the words that come out of your mouth, and the emotions you create. Your thoughts, choices and interpretations you make are based in your core beliefs. When you change your core beliefs you change the emotional quality of your life. The power to change your life and create happiness resides with you.

Whenever I read forums, tweets, and things of that nature, I can usually get a feel for the overall disposition of the person that is posting.  Some are more overly critical of things than others.  Some seem to always have something positive and friendly to say.  I distance myself from those that are always snippy, catty, cranky – I tend to gravitate towards those that have good things to say about others.  When I look through a forum or something along those lines, I can get a feel for a person by the posts that they’ve made over time.

You owe it to yourself to control your thoughts and what you put into the universe.  We become what we think we are.  We can either give ourselves and others value by showing them love.  Or we can take away value from ourselves and others by being overly critical.

Sunshine or Rain?

The choice is simple for me: SUNSHINE

It may be winter outside, but where ever I am, I want to be your sunshine.

And as a side note, feelings are legitimate.  Never deny yourself the right to feel however you feel.  It’s what you do with the energy from those feelings that really makes the day go by a bit faster and happier or slower and sadder.

Be good to you and you will be good to others – be good to others and you will be good to you!

I guess the Golden Rule comes into play along with all of this: “Do unto others as you would want done unto you!”
